Fire Department Management

Course Description
The students will be introduced to the job requirements of a Company Officer for Fire and Emergency Services. Topics include governmental theory, human resource management, administrative functions, policy/procedures, fire prevention, risk management, information management, firefighter near miss case studies, incident operations, and post incident analysis.
Prerequisites
Preferred students will be Company Officers or those close to being promoted. Pro Board Certification Note: To obtain National Professional Qualifications Fire Officer II certification, the student must have completed the requirements for Fire Officer I which includes National Professional Qualifications Instructor I. The Fire Officer II National Professional Qualifications test is the final test for this course.
