Who Should Attend
Search and seizure is a complex, highly fact-specific, and constantly evolving area of the law. The purpose of this course is to expose officers to the constitutional and statutory concepts, provisions, and considerations that when properly applied, result in lawful and Constitutionally defensible searches and seizures. Given the importance of the Fourth Amendment and its application in day to day law enforcement operations, it is strongly recommended that all Georgia peace officers attend this class regardless of their current duty assignment.
For off-campus courses, students must have access to a laptop, tablet or desktop computer and printer. This course is required for the POST Advanced Certification.
