Introduction to Cybercrime Investigations

Course Description
This course provides law enforcement students with the ability to conduct thorough cybercrime investigations. Topics include the following: types of cybercrime, basic networking, planning and preparation, investigation methodologies, effective documentation of a computer crime scene, and evidence collection, packaging and transportation.
Prerequisites
LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE. (1) Students must be employed by a local, state or federal law enforcement agency. (2) Students must be computer literate and possess fundamental computer skills for web browser and software operation.

Law enforcement personnel who conduct cybercrime and technical investigations.
