Course Description
This introductory course is the first of three required for POST Supervisory Certification and is intended for first line supervisors, but is also suitable for public safety employees who demonstrate supervisory potential prior to promotion. Topics include supervisory roles and responsibilities, managing information, planning, communication, ethics, civil liability, and organization.
Special Notes
Printed material will not be issued; students must print or download class materials. The books required for reading will be issued the first day of class.
Dress Code: Students are to report for class wearing their department Class A, Class B uniform, or business attire. Shorts, jeans, and t-shirts are PROHIBITED.
