Course Description

This course is specifically designed for public safety personnel to aid them in formulating sound ethical decisions and taking appropriate courses of action in the performance of their job duties. During this course, participants will explore ethical principles, the importance of character excellence, the influencing factors of the Continuum of Compromiseģ, and strategies to avoid unethical decisions and misconduct.

This course is open to all public safety personnel.

Students are required to dress in professional business attire or uniform for this course. Printed materials are not provided in the class. Students may either download or print materials through Student Access at www.gpstc.org. This course satisfies one of the course requirements for the POST Narcotic Investigator and POST Criminal Investigator certifications.
