Course Description

The 2022 Crisis Intervention Team Summit is an open event to allow public safety officials an opportunity to hear and discuss new trends in CIT training, as well as information pertaining to Senate Bill 403 (Georgia Behavioral Health and Peace Officer Co-Responder Act) and House Bill 1013 (Mental Health Parity Act). Other topics of discussion will be the 988 roll-out; Responder Resilience; and Veterans and Homelessness.  

Training Outcomes

The outcome of training is to educate public safety officials with new legislation that pertains to CIT-related issues, as well as the new trends in CIT training.

Prerequisites

Students must be employed by a local, state, or federal public safety agency.

Who Should Attend

Any local, state, or federal public safety official should attend.
