Course Description
This course is designed to improve the effectiveness of speed enforcement through the use of LIDAR speed measurement devices by training law enforcement officers in the principles, proper operation, and statutory and case law related to the operation of speed detection devices.
Who Should Attend
Certified law enforcement officers responsible for enforcing speed laws should attend this training.
Special Notes
Officers must bring a department issued, DPS approved LASER to class in order to successfully complete the practical exercise component of the training. For a list of approved devices check the link http://dps.georgia.gov/approved-speed-detection-devices.
