Specialized Patrol Techniques

Course Description

This course is designed to address current trends in law enforcement patrol. Beginning with a historical review of policing, the lesson will lead to the emphasis that is placed on current issues faced by patrol officers, to include: important case law, use of force information, patrol tactics, crimes often associated with patrol, gang activity, human trafficking, stats on law enforcement killed and assaulted, and stress management for law enforcement.

Who Should Attend

Students must be a POST Certified Georgia Peace Officer to attend this training.

This course is required for the POST Advanced Certification.
