Surviving the Ground Fight

Course Hours: 24.0 Hours

Course Description

This three -day course is designed specifically for law enforcement officers and will provide a foundation of physical manipulation techniques that can be used in a ground fighting situation, with the techniques leading to a position of arrest and control.


This course is NOT a sport based grappling program; it is designed for law enforcement street engagements and officer survival.

NOTE: This course is a pre-requisite for attendance to the Surviving the Ground Fight: Half Guard 8-hr course.

Training Outcomes

To teach officers the dynamics of an altercation that has gone to the ground, and how to control a ground grappling situation.

Prerequisites

Must be employed by a local, state, or federal law enforcement agency.

Who Should Attend

Law enforcement officers who wish to expand their knowledge of takedowns, grappling, and control techniques.

Special Notes

Students must bring their duty belt, holster (no weapons), handcuffs and key, mouth guard, groin protection, and non-marking court shoes.
