Georgia Fire Academy Regional Training Day Symposium

Course Description

This is a one-day regional training symposium offering fire service personnel training in their region. It is designed for volunteers and other fire service personnel that are unable to travel to the Georgia Public Safety Training Center to obtain the valuable training necessary to maintain and\or enhance their skillset.

Prerequisites

Attendees must be a State of Georgia Certified Firefighter and a member of a compliant fire department and fit the requirement defined in O.C.G.A. Title 25-4-2 (6).   

Who Should Attend

Firefighters seeking training to maintain and/or enhance their firefighting and rescue mitigation skills and knowledge.

Special Notes

All Hands-on-Training (H.O.T) Classes require appropriate PPE.

Students must provide full structural firefighter protective clothing to include boots, coat, pants, gloves, helmet, and hood. All clothing and equipment must be in good condition and meet applicable NFPA standards. No shorts or sleeveless shirts may be worn.
