Life Safety Code
Course Hours: 24.0 Hours
Course Description
This course will provide the student with an introduction and overview of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and how it applies to fire inspections and code enforcement activities. Students will review the specific requirements of each section of the code, determine building and fire protection requirements, egress requirements, and apply the code to practical activities based on occupancy and hazard classification. Attendance at this course is recommended, but not required, prior to attending First Responder Inspector and Fire Inspector courses.

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for public safety personnel who will have the primary responsibility of conducting Fire and Life Safety Code Inspections and Fire Service Plans Review.
