Speed Detection Instructor

Course Hours: 24.0 Hours

Course Description

This 24-hour course will provide the student instructor with the necessary information and skill set to become instructors in the use of speed detection devices (RADAR and LIDAR). This course meets the academic training requirements for those instructors seeking Specialized Instructor Certification in Speed Detection.

Prerequisites

Students must (1) possess valid Georgia P.O.S.T. Level II - Advanced Instructor (formerly General) Certification, and (2) possess valid Georgia P.O.S.T. certification as a Speed Detection Operator, or both RADAR Operator and LIDAR Operator.  


Copies of these certifications must be provided by email to the course coordinator before being selected by the coordinator to attend the course.

Who Should Attend

P.O.S.T. Level II - Advanced (formerly General) Instructors who are RADAR and LIDAR Operators, or Speed Detection Operators, with a desire to become a Speed Detection Instructor.
