Distracted Driving Awareness for Law Enforcement
Course Hours: 16.0 Hours
Course Description
This course is designed to introduce current/active law enforcement officers to the unique problems associated with distracted driving. The officer will learn how to drive safely and with precision while focusing on the roadway conditions and disregarding distractions that negate officer safety.
Prerequisites
Officers must be current/active law enforcement officials and must possess a valid driver's license.
Who Should Attend
Law Enforcement personnel currently assigned to positions requiring the operation of department issued vehicles.
Special Notes
Officers attending will be required to provide their own department vehicle to operate during the course. No personal or non-law enforcement vehicles are permitted.
