Hazardous Materials Awareness

Course Description
The Hazardous Materials: Awareness course is an Eight (8) hour course based on NFPA 1072, at the Awareness level. Topics include introduction to hazardous materials, terminology, classifications, placard and label recognition, and more.
Who Should Attend
Personnel who aspire to obtain Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification.
Special Notes
Students must provide IFSTA Essentials of Fire Fighting, (current ed.). No shorts or sleeveless shirts may be worn.
The final exam will be administered through Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training. Each student must know their Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training ID number.
