Course Description
The Georgia Public Safety Training Center serves as host for this online course created by Local Government Risk Management Services (LGRMS), to promote cancer awareness in the fire service. LGRMS is a service organization of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association.
The International Association of Firefighters attributes 74% of firefighter job-related deaths in the past decade to cancer. In this program, you will learn about the disease, increased risk due to the firefighting profession, and mitigation strategies. In addition, the important benefits of the Georgia Firefighters' Cancer Benefit Program are identified.
Who Should Attend
This course is intended for all fire service personnel.

This course does not provide Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council training credit.
