Fire Inspector II

Course Hours: 40.0 Hours

Course Description

This 40 hour course is designed to continue and expand the student's knowledge acquired as a Fire Inspector I as they accept the roles and responsibilities as a Fire Inspector II. Topics include, but are not limited to, duties and authority, building construction types, classifications, and components, detection, alarm, and suppression systems, as well as hazard recognition and inspection procedures.

Prerequisites

Current certification as Fire Inspector I.


Copy of Fire Inspector I certification must be submitted to [email protected] at the time of registration.  

Who Should Attend

Certified Fire Inspector I personnel seeking training meeting NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector II standards. 



Special Notes

This course is a Coordinator Managed course. All applicants will be placed on a wait list pending completion and submittal of prerequisites. Students with previous attempts to register for this course will receive priority. Once the students are selected they will receive confirmation. Applicants not selected will be invited to apply for a future offering. Any applicants who do not meet the prerequisites will be disqualified and must reapply for a future offering.  All pertinent course information and resources will be available during the course. The Course Coordinator will provide information and handouts via email.  All students should update their GPSTC accounts to ensure the email address on file is up to date.
