Course Description
THIS COURSE FULFILLS THE ONE HOUR GOVERNOR'S INITIATIVE DE-ESCALATION TRAINING REQUIREMENT.
This course is designed to provide an overview of de-escalation techniques that may be helpful in reducing the need to use force. This course is presented as an independent online course, and the students will complete activities throughout the course, which are designed to reinforce the concepts presented.
Prerequisites
Who Should Attend
Law enforcement officers and other public safety professionals who may encounter people in crisis.
Special Notes
Failure to attain the minimum required score will result in a failure of the class. Should the student choose to repeat the course, tuition will be charged at the rate of $30. Tuition must be paid before the student will have access to the course.
