Gang Prevention and Intervention in Schools
Course Hours: 4.0 Hours
Course Description
This course is designed to train School Resource Officers and School Safety personnel to identify gang prevention strategies and techniques to help youth who are exposed to gangs and provide resources for youth intervention. This course will be an extension of training currently offered at the Georgia Department of Education and will be structured to comply with House Bill 147, the School Safety Act, signed by Governor Kemp.
Prerequisites
School Resource Officers must first successfully complete the School Resource Officer course prior to attending this course.
Who Should Attend
School Resource Officers, Educators, School Administration, Fire Services, Emergency Medical Services, and School Safety personnel will benefit from this training.
