School Resource Officer Presentation Strategies

Course Description
This advanced course is designed for officers assigned to a school and/or campus in the state of Georgia. This course will equip officers with the baseline knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to give educational and safety awareness presentations to the students, support staff, teachers and parents at their schools. The course will provide information on the different types of learning and methods of instruction, as well as the most common types of presentations given in a school setting. During the class, officers will be required to complete a performance exam, consisting of a 15-20 minute group presentation.
Prerequisites
The School Resource Officer course is a prerequisite to attend this course.
Who Should Attend
Anyone currently assigned as a School Resource Officer in a public or private school in Georgia should attend this class.
