Firearms Instructor Refresher
Course Hours: 40.0 Hours
Course Description
This course is designed to enhance the skills of current firearms instructors and to promote uniformity among firearms instructors. Instruction includes marksmanship fundamentals review, target analysis and challenging range exercises.
Training Outcomes
At the conclusion of training, the instructors will be more proficient and refreshed in newer drills along with techniques in teaching firearms courses and techniques.
Prerequisites
Possess a Georgia POST Firearms Instructor Certification.
Who Should Attend
POST Certified Firearms Instructors.
Special Notes
Officers should bring a semi-auto pistol, duty belt with agency issued duty holster with retention, magazine pouch, three magazines, patrol rifle, (zeroed at 50 yards or 100 yards), three patrol rifle magazines, shotgun, shotgun shell holder, ear protection, eye protection, hat with a brim. Ammunition will be provided in calibers: 9mm, 40 SW, 45ACP, 45GAP, .223 and 12 gauge.
